Chemical Science Scotland
Your Invitation to the Skills Investment Plan Workshop

The Skills Investment Plans (SIPs) are led by Skills Development Scotland (SDS) and are being updated to reflect actions over the coming years to deliver a skills and training programme that meets the needs of companies operating within the life and chemical sciences sectors in Scotland.

This workshop will review and discuss the findings of an extensive interview programme with industry, academic and public agency stakeholders on current and future skills needs and issues in the life and chemical sciences sectors.

The format for the workshop is as follows:

  • Introduction to the SIPs and why they are being renewed
  • Findings from the desk research and interviews
  • Discussion of priorities and actions to be taken to address them
  • Timelines, responsibilities and requirements for achieving the updated SIP objectives
  • Next steps

The workshop will take place at Scottish Enterprise, Apex House, Haymarket, Edinburgh on Thursday 14th September beginning at 14.00h and finishing at 17.00h.  Lunch will be available prior to the workshop from 13.00h.

Please note that spaces are limited and we advise you to respond as soon as possible, and no later than Friday 1st September, if you would like to attend.

Further information will be circulated in early September.
