Information for Teachers

The Chemical Sciences sector provides chemistry teachers with a wide variety of resources. Here at CSS we do not produce these resources ourselves, however below we’ve provided links to some of the material available from our various member organisations and companies.

As a chemistry teacher, you’re crucial to the future of our entire sector. You need to nurture a passion for chemistry amongst young people, and produce the chemists of tomorrow, so our hope is that these will help you bring the subject to life in classrooms across Scotland.

STEM Ambassadors use their passion and enthusiasm to help and encourage children and young people to pursue STEM related subjects. They can provide help and advice in the classroom as well as networking and help with after school STEM clubs.

You can also browse our Members section to find out more about Chemicals Sciences companies based near you, and you can contact them if you’d like further information. Some may even welcome class visits.
