A wealth of knowledge, advice and support for new and growing businesses is available through Scottish Enterprise (SE) – Scotland’s national body for economic development, enterprise, innovation and investment in business.

This organisation covers the eastern, central and southern parts of Scotland whilst a similar body, Highlands and Islands Enterprise, operates in north-western Scotland. SE has 1,100 staff and operates from 13 offices across the country, allowing it to help all businesses in Scotland to grow and develop by offering a wide variety of services.

Scottish Enterprise also works in partnership with other organisations in the public and private sectors to identify and exploit the best opportunities to deliver a significant, lasting effect on the Scottish economy.
